Syllabus – New Testament Church
Instructor: Jesse Dickison
PURPOSE:
We will follow the development of the New Testament Church from the mind of God, to its earthly beginning
We will examine the doctrines of the New Testament Church on various subjects such as: leadership, worship, and work
We will study the attributes of the New Testament church as God designed it

The King James Version or The American Standard Version (1901) Bible

TESTS & ASSIGNMENTS:
There will be two tests in the course of the semester. The test questions will be taken from class lectures.
You will be responsible for homework assignments for each hour of class. These are to be e-mailed to the instructor by one week after they are sent out. You will also be responsible for memorizing scriptures that are important to the topic. These will be included in the homework assignments.
You are required to write a term paper on "The Importance of the New Testament Church." Your paper should be at least 2,500 words. It will be due before class 16.
You are required to keep accurate notes for each hour of instruction. They are to be e-mailed to me at jesse.dickison@oabs.org - these notes will be e-mailed to me upon my request.
All email assignments must be sent to the instructor in a pdf with name, assignment and date at the top of the first page and in the URL.
COURSE SCHEDULE:
Classes meet each Saturday for 18 weeks beginning the first Saturday in August through the third Saturday in December with the exception of two breaks. Each Saturday will consist of two fifty minute sessions with a ten minute break between, meeting at: (Session 1) 3:00 PM - 3:50 PM CTZ and (Session 2) 4:00 - 4:50 PM CTZ.
