WHEN GOD DREAMS, HE DREAMS BIG

 

 I.  God’s BIG Dreams

      A.  In the wake of sin, God had big dreams (Gen. 3:15).

      B.  God had big dreams for elderly Abraham and barren Sarah

           (Gen. 12:1-3; see Rom. 4:19).

      C.  A captured people and a complaining Moses could not keep

            God from dreaming big (Exod. 3:11ff).

      D.  Neither the sea in front nor the army behind shrunk God’s

           dreams (Exod. 14:10-31).

      E.  God had big plans for Paul (Acts 23:11).

      F.  God had big dreams before the foundation of the world

           (Eph. 3:10, 11).

 

II.  God Is Still Dreaming BIG

      A.  For His church

            1.  God still expects consecrated service (2 Cor. 6:17; Matt.

                 5:13-16).

            2.  Sodom would have been spared for ten righteous souls

                 (Gen. 18:32).

      B.  For this congregation

           1.  The Phillips Street congregation is blessed with a sound

                reputation in our brotherhood and community.

           2.  Luke 12:48

      C.  For every individual Christian

            1.  Titus 1:5 was written to one individual.

            2.  Have we done what we could (Mk. 14:3-9)?
