
Syllabus - Church History
PURPOSE
To Study and be familiar with the history, apostasy and restoration
efforts of the church found in the New Testament.
The Restoration Movement will be emphasized.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Complete the assigned readings before class and be ready to enter
discussion on the content.
Keep a notebook containing: class notes, events and major characters
discussed each week. (This notebook is to be kept in Microsoft Word format to be
e-mailed to instructor upon request).
Write a 1,000 word original essay on "My Responsibility In Maintaining
the Purity of the New Testament Church" in Microsoft Word
format. (Due before
Spring Break).
Write a 1,000 word original essay on "Principles of Restoring the New
Testament Church". (Due before Session 17).
TESTS & GRADES
Two major tests: Mid-term & Final.
Grade Determination:
Notebook - 25%
Essays - 25%
Major Tests - 50%
An Incomplete will be granted if any requirements are not completed.
OABS attendance requirements will be enforced.
CLASS SCHEDULE
Classes meet the first Saturday in
January through the third Saturday in May with the exceptions of Spring
break and Phillips Street Lectures.
Each class will begin at 4:00 pm CTZ.
Each class will be 50 minutes long
