Syllabus  - Jeremiah

Instructor: Larry Powers

I. COURSE REQUIREMENTS: King James or American Standard (1901) Bible.

II. COURSE REQUIREMENT: Prepare FIVE sermon outlines from the book of Jeremiah. In these outlines show the application of the text of those of Jeremiah's day and then according to Romans 15:4 how they may correctly apply to our day.

III. COURSE REQUIREMENT: Answer the roll with a different memory verse each week.

IV. Suggested reference works: STUDIES IN JEREMIAH (Volumes One & Two) by Robert R. Taylor Jr., JEREMIAH A Commentary – Exegetical, Homiletical (Volumes One & Two), editor William S. Cline, Firm Foundation Lectureship Books, Third Annual (1986) and Seventh Annual (1990). Notice these are suggested references they are not a requirement for the class.

V. FINAL GRADE will be determined by class attendance, exam, sermon outlines, memory work.  All assignments and test are due the day assigned.  For every day that the assignments, test and outlines are late they will be reduced five points.
