Principles of Interpretation 2
​Instructor: Corey Johnson

​PURPOSE:
To gain a greater understanding and appreciation for the Bible being the product of Divine inspiration, and not human interpretation (2 Peter 2:20-21)
To gain a greater understanding in the application of Scripture (Luke 10:37; Acts 2:41)
To strengthen our faith and reasoning to rightly divide the word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15)
To become a workman approved of God (2 Tim. 2:15; 1 Peter 4:11)

The King James Version Bible (Preferred) or The American Standard Version (1901)
Hermeneutics by D.R. Dungan
Principles of Interpretation by Clinton Lockhart
How To Study The Bible by Earle H. West

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Complete reading/writing assignments before class
Participate in class discussions

TESTS AND ASSIGNMENTS:
Two (2) tests (Midterm and Final Exam)
Two to Three page chapter outlines

COURSE SCHEDULE:
Classes meet each Saturday for 18 weeks and will consist of one fifty (50) minute session meeting at 11:00 AM-11:50 AM CTZ. Two breaks total will be taken after six weeks of consecutive classes over the course of the semester.
