PURPOSE:
To see the harmony of the synoptic Gospel accounts (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) as they bring attention to the life of Christ.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Keep copious notes.
Learn memory work.
Read required textbooks.
Complete all tests and assignments on time.
Per OABS policy, failure to appear in class or communicate with your instructor for two class periods will result in your name being submitted to the director for dismissal. If you fail to complete assigned work including tests in a timely manner your name will be submitted to the director for dismissal.
TEST AND ASSIGNMENTS:
Three exams (closed-book, multiple choice/short answer questions) to be given following the 6th, 12th, and 18th class sessions. Exams are due back to the instructor by midnight on the Tuesday following class. Each exam will be worth 100 points (300 total).
Memory work: Twenty passages to be memorized throughout the semester due at the beginning of each class (see below). Each passage is worth 2.5 points (50 total).
Lesson outlines: Develop two lesson outlines at least one page in length. The first outline should cover a portion of the Sermon on the Mount, due Thursday, February 2, by midnight. The second outline should cover one of the parables, due Thursday, March 23, by midnight. Each is worth 25 points (50 total).
COURSE GRADING:
Overall grade will be the sum of all points (Tests: 300, Memory: 50, Outlines: 50), divided by four.
Five points will be deducted for each day a test or assignment is late.
COURSE SCHEDULE:
Classes meet each Saturday for 18 sessions at 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM CTZ. Each class will be 50 minutes in length with a 10 minute break between classes. Two breaks total will be taken after six weeks of consecutive classes over the course of the semester.
