Syllabus - Isaiah 2
Instructor: Hank Lawrence
PURPOSE:
To examine the book of Isaiah in an overview format
To obtain a better understanding of the history, doctrine and elements of the books
TEXTBOOKS:
The King James Version Bible
PowerPoint presentations will be presented by the instructor and will be given to students at the completion of class
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Attendance and participation in all memory verse assignments and tests is required
TESTS AND ASSIGNMENTS:
Memory work assignments (included with the course schedule) are due each week before class begins. Once the verse(s) are memorized, they should be typed from memory into an email, and then sent to the instructor
One quiz will be e-mailed to the students on the day indicated on the schedule, and is due back before the start of the next class
There will be a final test
COURSE GRADING:
Memory work will account for 35% of the final grade
Quiz will account for 25% of the final grade
Final exam will account for 40% of the final grade
COURSE SCHEDULE:
Classes meet each Tuesday evening for 15 weeks beginning the second Tuesday in January through the first Tuesday in May with the exception of two breaks. Each Tuesday will consist of one fifty minute session, meeting at: 7:00 PM - 7:50 PM CTZ
